The 36th ASEAN Summit 2020 is expected to take place from 6th – 9th April 2020 at Da Nang beautiful coastal city. Currently, the city’s leadership is focusing on preparing for successful events of Viet Nam’s 2020 ASEAN Chairmanship.

According to the information at the meeting with the front-line delegation preparing for this ASEAN Summit,Vice Chairman of Danang People’s Committee, Mr. Ho Ky Minh said the Subcommittees on Security, Health, ASEAN Order and The Subcommittee of the National Commission will coordinate with the city to implement the plans to ensure the highest level of security and safety for this important conference.

The 36th ASEAN Summit is one of the most important events of Vietnam ‘s ASEAN chairmanship 2020 with the participation of many leaders of ASEAN countries, the Secretary-General of ASEAN and many other important guests, Therefore, all issues of security, safety, food hygiene and safety, health care, information security … must be guaranteed to the highest requirements.

Mr. Ho Ky Minh also requested units and departments to update information, carefully implement reception, logistics, security, health and propaganda activities.

Prior to this ASEAN Summit, Da Nang is also chosen to host the 26th ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting and related conferences expected to take place from 8th to 11th March 2020. Currently, the preparation work is being closely coordinated with Da Nang Industry and Trade Department to ensure this event takes place successfully.
